BAM Site Solutions are recruiting a Store Supervisor to based at our Allbrook Depot. This is an operational role and activities will be part of a busy workshop working internally and occasionally externally on BAM or Client Projects.

A challenging role which requires commitment, dedication, self-motivation with the ability to service and repair a variation of plant and site equipment resolving any mechanical issues.

Monday to Friday, 39 hours per week

Your mission
 •  Responsible for getting the right products, to the right locations all at the right time.
 •  Procure goods from suppliers NOT exceeding a value of £1000 per order. Vendor accords should be used where possible.
 •  Procure stock parts from suppliers on completion of correct paperwork and authorisation at the best price and service from suppliers. Ensuring that prices are quoted prior to order being placed.
 •  Accepting deliveries from suppliers, checking that no damage or loss has occurred during transit.
 •  Ensuring delivery tickets and materials are correct with purchase order.
 •  Advise Stores personnel on orders placed or requested (from who / for who) and advise any party awaiting materials on expected delivery date.
 •  Delivery notes passed to plant office with date stamping delivery tickets.
 •  Ensure all material requests have a written log within day book.
 •  To ensure stock locator is maintained up to date at all times and use of correct coding of purchase orders and requisitions.
 •  Allocate goods to site or plant ensuring correct coding.
 •  Supplying to delivery ticket to site and obtaining signature.
 •  To ensure paperwork is submitted timeously. [requisitions processed within 3 days, advise notes for goods received passed to plant office daily, Purchase orders passed to plant office daily, check in-tray in plant office twice daily]
 •  Prepare service materials in accordance with manufactures specification as advised weekly by the plant maintenance administrator.
 •  Prevent unauthorised personnel from entering stores.
 •  To ensure adequate stock levels are maintained and be accountable for stock balances. Record any stock additions or reductions with for reason doing so.
 •  Obsolete or stock not used for 3 or more years is identified, and manager advised
 •  To ensure correct access equipment is used for working at height.
 •  Ensure stores are maintained in a safe, clean and tidy condition.
 •  Attend weekly feedback meetings with manager [you to decide on day]
 •  Where PPE is issued, ensure- it is correct for product or activity, and is signed for by user [with guidance from COSHH assessment] and recording of any PPE issues
 •  Issue and record COSHH assessments. Ensure new COSHH product sheets are kept , removing old sheets
 •  Read and understand risk assessments and procedures issued
 •  Advise other stores personnel of new hazardous products purchased and storage requirements.
 •  Know and understand procedure for issuing diesei and in event of oil & fuel spillages
 •  Dispose of waste products when requested
 •  Reporting of paint usage, site stock purchases and share the weekly report with your line manager.

Who are we looking for?
 •  Experience within a Plant environment in a similar role is desirable but no essential
 •  Able to multi-task and prioritise a busy workload.
 •  An enthusiastic team player
 •  A highly professional positive attitude
 •  A driving license is desirable
 •  First aid training desirable
