We now have an exciting opportunity for a Take Off Technician to join our estimating team based at our Head Office in Ipswich.
So, what is the main purpose of the Take-Off Technician? They will be assisting the Take-Off Co-ordinator and Estimators in the accurate calculation of quantities and producing bills of quantities for tenders that are currently being bid.
If you’ve got a head for numbers, a sharp set of IT skills and an interest in civil engineering, we want you to come and work for us!
Main Duties:
• Assist the Estimators in other capacities if extra help required.
• Correspond with site personnel to assist in take-off or other relatable queries.
• Learn to read plans & project specifications.
• Learn to use the company’s take-off & earthworks modelling software.
• Learn to identify incidental items of work that may require take-off.
Develop an understanding of standard methods of measurement and forms of contract.
