You
You’re a caring, can-do person with experience working in painting and decorating. Ideally, some of that has been gained in a care home setting. You’ve got a good basic education with GCSEs (or the equivalent) including English and Maths. As well as being very practical, you like dealing with people.
You’re happy building good relationships with residents, colleagues and contractors. You’re a multi-tasker who can work well under pressure and use your initiative to solve problems. Above all, you’re a team player who takes pride in your work and is committed to maintaining a safe, comfortable environment for our residents.
Your role
You will be responsible for both internal and external redecoration for Mountfitchet care home. The work will generally be on a planned/project basis but some reactive work will be required. You will use paint, varnishes and wallpaper supplied through the Property Helpdesk to decorate the home inside and outside.
Colour, finishing texture and wallpaper patterns will be selected from a pre-agreed set of choices.
