Our client an established food to go company are currently looking to recruit an experienced production manager to work initially within their current site. Then move over with them to the new expended site.
Main duties & responsibilities,
• Planning and coordinating all production activities and making sure production targets are met.
• Making sure that the production line moves smoothly and efficiently.
• Leading and developing your team to ensure optimal production effectiveness
• Ensuring that the company’s quality, hygiene and health & safety standards are met at all times
• Liaising with colleagues in technical, planning and supply chain departments
• Looking after machinery and coordinating breakdown responses so that minimal time is lost
• Maintaining up-to-date production, personnel and quality records
• Ensuring handovers between shifts are smooth and no time is lost
• Assisting your team when necessary
• Liaise with Production Planning to assist in the preparation of an effective and efficient production plan for the site
• Monitoring and controlling the labour requirements of the department; including the incorporation of relevant capacities and payroll budget levels.
• Assisting with interviewing new staff.
• Ensuring that all department staff have the skills necessary to consistently carry out their duties to the required standards.
• Ensuring compliance with all relevant Health and Safety, Food Safety, Quality, Environmental and Hygiene legislation and procedures within the department’s scope of operations.
Knowledge, experiance & skills required,
• Strong commitment towards people, quality and profit.
• A resilient, credible leadership style with the ability to inspire, coach and develop your team
• The ability to work under pressure, on own initiative and to 'think outside the box’.
• Experience of continuous Improvement.

Day to Day Production, Monitoring labour requirements, Staff Training, Stock control,
Working hours - flexible 8am to 5pm Sunday to Thursday (35hr contract)
Holiday entitlement - 30 days
Salary - £30-£50k depending on experience
Any additional company benefits (if applicable) - healthcare and pension
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Salary: £30,000.00-£50,000.00 per year

• 8 hour shift
