Large Format Print Production Manager

We’re working with a leading creator in the large format print and POS. Based just outside of Maidstone, this business offer everything you need to make a brand really stand out from the crowd.
Due to continued growth they’re now looking to add an experienced Large Format Print Production Manager to join their senior management team.
For this role we’re looking for someone with detailed understanding and experience of processes related to the industry and role itself - production planning, scheduling, and commitment to ensuring a seamless operation between production, pre-press, and client services.
The ideal person will be someone ready to take the next step in their career and who is looking for genuine growth and development. We are looking for someone thrives in fast paced environments and is ready to help take the business to the next level.
This role will essentially start as a hybrid role, overseeing production and also assisting the team as and when required. Your role and responsibilities will grow with the business and in time, has the potential to progress to director level.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and lead production meetings
Verify job specifications to ensure precise project delivery
Encourage team accountability by supervising production processes, quality control measures and fulfilment targets
Develop and implement thorough schedules for campaigns and events
Offer technical guidance and support to all stakeholders as needed
Manage factory administration systems and tools to streamline operations
Hold account managers responsible for meeting production schedules and maintaining standards
Provide production reports to directors and other business stakeholders
Collaborate with vendors to identify opportunities for process improvement
Track and manage mock-ups, prototypes and printer proofs
Work closely with all stakeholders to develop innovative packaging and display solutions
Encourage a culture of continuous learning and development to enhance knowledge, skills, and growth opportunities within the production teams.
The Candidate:
Extensive hands-on experience of managing or supervising a busy large format print room and everything associated with the role including staff management
Production management, planning and scheduling experience
Experience in cardboard engineering using CAD (SolidWorks, SketchUp, Kasemake or similar)
Experience with digital print equipment (HP Latex, Mimaki, Arizona Zund, Laser Cutter, Routers)
Full driving licence.
Salary & Benefits:
This role is a full time, permanent position with a generous salary of up to £55,000 depending on level of experience. The company offers a fantastic range of benefits including:
