Company Overview

We are working with an innovative manufacturer of critical safety products for multiple applications in their search for a new Approval Engineer.

Job Description
 •  Responsible for international approvals for the products, dealing with different internal approval standards, responsible for approvals and new products and yearly submissions due to the current products with different notified bodies.
 •  Planning, documentation, preparing and tracking the progress of approvals.
 •  Creating approval strategy for new products.
 •  Supporting design engineers and portfolio managers in approval questions.
 •  Manage product testing with external partners.
 •  Creating approval strategy for new products while supporting stakeholders with approval questions.
 •  Managing international approvals by taking the lead to ensure the product requirements and documentation for approval submissions are created and maintained inline with the relevant directives and legislation.
 •  Working together with design engineers and other departments in interdisciplinary project teams as an approval expert in a global network.

Skills & Experience
 •  Degree in an engineering discipline – electronics, electrical or mechanical.
 •  Exposure to electronics products and understanding of how a schematic becomes a product.
 •  Understanding or experience of approvals, validation and compliance of a product.
 •  Experience of dealing with international regulatory processes and approvals.
 •  Experience of the requirements of product approvals (ATEX, RF, EMC, Electrical Safety PPE, MED, UKCA).
 •  Experience of dealing with international regulatory processes and external bodies
