Are you a passionate teaching assistant or learning support assistant who has experience of special needs in either a special school or a mainstream setting?
If so read on -
Strategy Education are looking for Teaching Assistants for a special needs school (SEN) based close to Diss.
This SEN school caters for pupils with Autism and is a through school for students aged between 5-19 years.
The senior leadership are very supportive and offer plenty of CPD and there is an opportunity for this role to become permanent for the right candidate
Responsibilities
• To support the class teacher either 1:1 or with very small groups
• Record keeping of pupil's progress
• Work within a multi team of professionals
• Assist with all classroom activities.
Experience and Knowledge
• Experience of working with students with special needs (SEN)
• Experience of managing behaviour in a positive way
• The ability to tailor and offer a bespoke learning programme to meet the needs of the students
• Good communication skills
• A real team player
• Reliable and resilient
