Hiring an EC&I Technician to ensure safe, efficient and effective delivery of EC&I maintenance routines, defects, repairs, and projects for a renowned global company using operational and technical excellence. You will be committed to self-development, seeking training and practical opportunities to progress.
This is a permanent, full-time position based at an upper tier COMAH combined heat and power plant in Cumbria, with the possibility of travel and overnight stays.
You will be:
• Providing daily EC&I engineering and maintenance activity technical support, troubleshooting, resolution and out of hours support on a 1 week in 3 on call rota
• Managing aspects of rotating and stationary equipment work, providing timely feedback and completion of the Electronic Shift Log and the Site CMMS (Maximo)
• Managing assigned maintenance contracts within legislations and specifications, updating work order records and reporting though CMMS
• Improving and producing project documents, work plans and procedures and working with teams to review completed documents ensuing compliance and safety
• Supervising contractor personnel to ensure all work is technically correct and in accordance with site safety, environmental and quality procedures.
You will need to have:
• Time served apprenticeship or NVQ 3 in an Electrical, Instrument or Control discipline
• Confidence using Microsoft Office
• Good understanding of process instrumentation, 4-20mA loops, HART, Modbus, Profibus
• Knowledge of The Electricity at Work Regulations and basic electrical, instrument and control theory
• Appreciation of risk assessments, method statements and permits to work, plant SHE systems and procedures and capital and revenue expenditure
• Ability to read P&IDs and single line diagrams with good understanding of EC&I problem solving techniques
• Knowledge of transformers, generators, motor control centres and sub-stations
• Ability to supervise contractor and consultants ensuring project obligations and objectives are met
