Leadership and Development Trainer

Location: Telford – Must be based on site in Telford
Duration: Permanent
Package: Circa £30,000 - £33,000
Working Hours: 8.30am – 5pm Monday to Friday

We are currently working with a leading global manufacturing organisation who have an exciting opening within the UK division of their business for a Leadership & Development Trainer. This is a newly created role, where this position has been created to work alongside the international training division to role out a new programme that is mainly geared towards supporting and developing the management and leadership teams in the UK division of the business.

We are looking for an experienced L&D professional, ideally where you have managed and delivered training, either in a specific L&D/Training role, or if that was part of a wider Human Resources role. Please only apply if you are based locally to Telford which is where the role is based from.

Reporting into the Head of Quality, The Quality Manager will be getting involved in:
 •  Work with the international L&D team to adapt the leadership and development training to the context in the UK.
 •  With most of the courses being designed by the central team, you will have the chance to have an input into course content if you feel there are areas that need adapting or improving.
 •  Deliver training of the Leadership and Management programme for staff based in the UK.
 •  Own the training schedule and delivery for all training events in the UK.
 •  Promote and organise training events, raising awareness of what training is available.
 •  Conducted training needs analysis and ensure that training plans are reflective of the requirements of the business and the individuals in the programme.
 •  Update Senior Manager, Global Leadership & Development on progress.
 •  Provide reports and data to management team.
 •  Pushing back on attendees to ensure that they stick to the arranged training plan.
 •  Other special projects related to Global Leadership & Development
 •  99% of training will be conducted on site in Telford. Occasional travel to international sites to meet with the wider training department.

To be considered for this role, we are looking for the following:
 •  Strong knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning methodologies.
 •  Excellent presentation and facilitation skills, with the ability to engage and inspire learners.
 •  Proficiency in designing and delivering both in-person and virtual training sessions.
 •  Familiarity with learning management systems and e-learning platforms.
 •  Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple initiatives simultaneously.
 •  Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
 •  Demonstrated ability to evaluate training effectiveness and make data-driven improvements.
 •  Certifications in training facilitation or instructional design will be a plus.
 •  Solid experience in public speaking to groups in a working environment.
 •  Ability to follow curriculum and lesson plans to deliver content in a timely manner.
 •  Essential Level 3 Training And Education/PTTLS/CIPD L&D
 •  Desirable Bachelor’s degree in Education, Human Resources, Sociology, Psychology or a related field.
 •  Proven experience as a Learning and Development Trainer or a similar role
 •  99% of training will be conducted on site in Telford, so you must be based locally. There may be some international travel required once or twice a year.
