Abatec are working with a long-established Specialist Civil Engineering contractor based in Newton Abbot. As a Quantity Surveyor you will join an excellent, stable growing company and commercially manage 2-3 projects simultaneously. The successful QS will be responsible for managing subcontractor payments, take-offs, variations, CVR’s, final accounts etc.
We welcome applications from Assistant Quantity Surveyor to Senior Quantity Surveyor.
As a Quantity Surveyor you will:
• Maintain accurate records, control, and reconcile costs and value, report variances against agreed performance, compliance, and finance targets.
• Take control of change management.
• Be involved in a review of current procedures and processes and assist in the implementation of new and revised processes where required.
Our client requires a Quantity Surveyor with:
• Experience working in Civil Engineering and NEC form of contract
• Degree in Quantity Surveying or similar
• Strong knowledge of construction contracts, procurement processes, and cost management techniques
• Membership of relevant professional bodies (e.g., RICS, CIOB) is desirable but not essential
Salary/Benefits:
• Up to £65,000 per annum dependant on level of experience
• Company car or car allowance
• 25 days annual leave plus Bank Holidays
• Private healthcare
• Company pension scheme
