Robert Half are working with a passionate non-for-profit human rights organisation based in Bath to recruit an Interim Head of Finance to cover until they recruit a permanent placement. Reporting directly to the CEO and SMT - this is an all-encompassing role including day-to-day operations as well as an opportunity to support with bids/tenders.
The Role:
• Management of estimated £40m of grant funds
• Manage a team of 2
• Overseeing of month-end close
• Producing final annual statutory accounts
• Leading of audits
• Lead and work closely with the Financial Manager and wider SMT on commercial tenders, including budgeting, written justifications, and financial management arrangements
• Working with the CEO and Senior Management Team to develop organisation budgets; functional and practice budgets; and contracts and target revenue contracts
• Lead and work with the CEO on development of an effective treasury and investment strategy
• Ensure effective management of cashflow, through donor, debtor and creditor control management
• Consider and propose any exposures or opportunities on foreign currency incoming or held
• Manage complex international payment issues with banking institutions and effective foreign currency management
Experience Required:
• Qualified ACA, ACCA OR CIMA - qualified by experience will be considered
• Previous Charity/SORP accounting experience
• Management and statutory accounting experience
• Ideally some experience of making complex international payments
