My client is searching for a Private Client Solicitor or Fee Earner to join their offices-based Winchester, Hampshire.
Job purpose:
• Manage a personal caseload of high net worth and complex administrations.
• Advise on all aspects of trusts, draft administration and tax issues.
• Provide technical leadership to ensure organised, client-focused, cost-effective and efficient service delivery.
• Implementation of best practices and case management standards across through day-to-day support of team members; monthly file reviews in accordance with Lexcel standards; and regular end-effective supervision through discussion and problem resolution.
• In conjunction with management, develop ongoing business strategies to grow the Wills Trusts & Probate team and revenue streams.
• Responsibility for achieving individual and collective billing and key performance targets.
• Collate and provide reports and data as requested by the directors including but not limited to case holdings, turnover, sources of work, income, billing, complaints and resolutions
• Implement legal and best practice training for the team and create and maintain a source of template letters and documents to support them.
• To provide appropriate input to ensure the firm retains Lexcel accreditation.
Knowledge required
• Excellent knowledge of law relevant to wills, trusts & probate
• Knowledge of relevant statutory duties
• Competent in the use of Microsoft word and outlook
Experience
• At least 2 years’ experience of conduct of wills, trusts and probate work
• Experience of meeting deadlines with a minimum of supervision
• Direct contact with clients, face to face and over the phone
• Experience of supervising and mentoring staff
• Working with electronic case management systems
