We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as a Deputy Building Control Manager (PO9). In this role, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on our organization by ensuring compliance with all building regulations and standards.
As the Deputy Building Control Manager, you will assist in managing a team of building control officers and oversee the entire building control process. You will be responsible for reviewing and approving building plans, conducting site inspections, and providing expert advice to contractors and developers.
Your strong technical knowledge and understanding of building codes and regulations will be crucial in ensuring the safety and integrity of our built environment.
Responsibilities
Assist in the management and supervision of a team of building control officers
Review and approve building plans to ensure compliance with building regulations and standards
Conduct on-site inspections to ensure adherence to approved plans and compliance with regulations
Provide expert advice and guidance to contractors, developers, and other stakeholders
Investigate and resolve complaints related to building control issues
Stay up to date with the latest regulations and changes in building control practices
Assist in the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to building control
Requirements
A bachelor's degree in civil engineering, architecture, or a related field
Extensive experience in building control, including knowledge of building codes and regulations
Strong leadership and team management skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to interpret technical drawings and plans
A proactive and detail-oriented approach to work
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Hours Per Week: 35.00
Start Time: 09:00
End Time: 17:00
Pay Rate: £447.71
