The Opportunity
Estimated Duration – 12 months. This role has been deemed inside of IR35.
An assignment is available for an experienced Civil / Senior Civil Engineer to support the infrastructure of a process plant currently under design. This will be supporting a leading engineering contractor who is a key part of a major project based in the North East.
Your duties and responsibilities will be
The role will involve the design of plant roads and drainage including developing ground models, layouts, designs and specifications to construction status.
To plan and prioritise your own work and that of more junior staff so that parallel activities are all completed in a timely manner.
To ensure that work complies with all necessary corporate, departmental, and legislative requirements and procedures, to guarantee that the necessary consistency and quality of delivery is maintained.
To carry out engineering calculations and check the work of more junior staff to deliver a quality functional input to projects.
To proactively generate value adding options within projects to offer to clients to improve both the chance of winning work and satisfaction with completed and ongoing work.
To provide functional support and guidance to more junior staff to develop them as individuals and the capability of the team as a whole.
To keep abreast of current technology so that technical input to projects takes account of new developments.You will have the following qualifications & experience
A degree in Civil Engineering or direct experience in infrastructure design.
The candidate must by familiar with the requirements of Design Manual for Roads and Bridges and Sewers for Adoption.
A good working knowledge of Microdrainage, Causeway PDS and AutoCAD.Get in touch today
