The Company

Abtrace is a health tech start-up based in Paddington, London, with a tightly knit team of highly motivated doctors, researchers, and data scientists that bring together software engineering, artificial intelligence and medical experience to build clinical algorithms to support primary care clinicians.

We develop digital health software which automates key GP processes such as medication monitoring, long-term condition management, screening, code-cleaning and earlier detection of disease. We evaluate the entire health record of a patient and work with over 250 primary care practices covering 2.5 million patients.

When we get it right, we reduce complexity, increase efficiency, reduce costs, improve staff experience and most importantly - improve the quality of care delivered for patients!

The Role

We’re looking for a qualified pharmacist who has experience working in General Practice (GP) in the NHS and interest or experience in working in digital health.

Responsibilities
 •  Improve the quality, safety, and effectiveness of prescribing in GP Practices against NICE standards, prescribing guidance, and other clinical standards using the Abtrace Proactive Monitoring Tool
 •  Guide the direction of the product, bringing practical insights for clinical value, identifying key features and specifications

Requirements
 •  Clinical qualifications including GPHC accredited Pharma degrees or equivalents
 •  Experience working in General Practice in the NHS
 •  Regularly attend our office in London Paddington for 2 days every week
 •  Commit to working a minimum of 3 days a week, preferably 4-5
 •  Experience in supporting practices with audits and meeting medicines related QOF targets and repeat prescribing.
 •  Experience with structured medication reviews for patients with polypharmacy, long term conditions or high-risk patients.
 •  Understanding of call and recall processes at GP Practices
 •  Good degree of computer literacy and able to work with a variety of software systems, including but not limited to EMIS Web and SystmOne (TPP)
 •  Analytical mind and good problem-solving skills
 •  Team spirit and good communication abilities

Desirable but not mandatory:

 •  Strong technical skills – any relevant experience working on things such as processes, algorithms, protocols or coding.
 •  Experience in a digital healthcare technology company
 •  Leadership experience managing staff in a healthcare setting
