My client are looking for a transport planner / traffic coordinator to join the team who as a business have grown to be one of the largest and most successful privately owned Transport companies in the United Kingdom.
As a transport planner
Route Management: Brief and debrief drivers on routes, ensuring all paperwork and driver equipment are correct.
Monitoring: Utilize vehicle tracking systems to monitor deliveries, ensuring they are completed on time.
Reporting: Complete shift performance reports and vehicle defect notes, including breakdown callouts where applicable.
Communication: Maintain effective communication with customer services via email and provide operational updates to the Warehouse and transport team
• Ensuring a smooth process of all the paperwork within department
• Assisting with general enquiries
• General office administration tasks
• Great attention to detail
• Ability to use their own initiative
• Courteous in their approach
• Ability to work under pressure
• Work well within a team
£35-40k Salary
Transport background - Tanker or general haulage ideally
CPC experience
Monday - Friday Rotating shifts - 6-2, (phone number removed)pm.
Good communication skills
Computer literacy essential - Excel, outlook
