Description

We are recruiting a Business Support Officer - Youth Justice Service for a public sector client in South West London. The post holder will be required to assist in typing reports, managing the diary, arranging conferences/events, and undertaking a range of systems, financial, information, and administrative duties within the Youth Justice Service.

Responsibility

Additionally, the post holder will be required to use the information databases efficiently and effectively and to act as a local expert by supporting, training and advising staff in the use and maintenance of the system.

Qualification – Essential
 •  GCSE Grade A-C (or equivalent) in English Language and Mathematics.
 •  Educated to “A” Level Standard or demonstrable relevant experience at an appropriate level.
 •  Advanced –Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Social Media.

Essential - Skills, Abilities & Experience
 •  Ability to provide efficient and effective administrative support.
 •  Excellent knowledge and application of IT systems and software packages.
 •  Excellent word processing skills and ability to compose letters and email correspondence on standard issues.
 •  Excellent levels of literacy and numeracy.
 •  Solid understanding of others' needs, timescales, and deadlines.
 •  Ability to deal diplomatically and confidentially with a broader range of stakeholders internally and externally.
 •  Ability to work with minimum supervision, using problem-solving skills and initiative to provide a customer-focused support service.
 •  Ability to identify processes and systems improvements and share the recommendations with the broader team.
 •  Resilience and ability to work with sensitive and sometimes challenging information.
 •  Ability to work flexibly, balancing competing priorities and meeting deadlines.
 •  Experience in efficiently operating office systems.
 •  Able to communicate effectively with colleagues and customers at all levels.
 •  Experience working in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment.
 •  Able to show flexibility and initiative.

Essential Compliance Requirements
 •  Five Years of References.
 •  Enhanced CRB/DBS Within Last 12 Months
 •  A pre-engagement screening is mandatory for this role.
