Key Tasks and Accountabilities
• Monitor daily work volumes ensuring efficient use of resources to meet turnaround timescales.
• Ensure employees have the workload to allow them to perform to an optimum level at all times.
• Provide supporting information on technician performance levels.
• Decide upon action required to change or reallocate resources to achieve maximum efficiency.
• To indicate where applicable, causes of problems and assist in setting appropriate actions to maintain KPI turnaround times.
• Liaise with Line Manager / Performance Managers to resolve issues relating to missed appointments or job related problems.
• Monitor agreed corrective actions.
• Monitor job completion times and appointments kept.
• To forward plan to ensure optimum work planned for workers.
• Be alert and responsive to continuous improvement and process change.
Essential Skills & Experience Required - Expected behaviours (align these to the Kier values)
• Ability to investigate, evaluate and respond to situations quickly.
• Ability to make effective decisions based on objective assessment of situations.
• Ability to control multiple processes simultaneously to share good practice.
• Good IT knowledge.
• An understanding of the construction industry, including trades, materials, processes and safety.
• Organisational skills necessary to manage and organise own workload.
• The ability to communicate effectively at levels commensurate with role, both verbally and in writing.
• The ability to respond to changing priorities in order to meet deadlines.
• Courteous manner towards clients, customers and colleagues.
• Highly self motivated and ability to use initiative, when necessary.
• Have a methodical approach to work.
• Work under pressure and to strict deadlines.
