Estimator Job Description
Leeds
£40,000 depending on experience.
Estimator - Data/TV & Security
• Understand plans and requirements.
• Working with the team to design systems as required (Design & Build).
• Carry out initial analysis of projects.
• Estimating and calculating labour/work, materials/supplies.
• Review and analyse charged working hours to existing and completed jobs to ensure current/future performance and quoting standards are aligned.
• Prepare and manage quotations.
• Maintain and update quoting standards.
• Manage the revision of estimates with specifications changes etc.
• Help to identify hazards, defects, and the need for adjustment to ensure compliance with applicable codes, law, working practices and health and safety
• Effectively liaise and communicate and maintain a good relationship with team members, contractors/suppliers and other stakeholders as required.
• Work with finance team to provide levels of procurement support.
• Attend meetings as and when required.
• Meet your targets and contribute to those of the team.
• Responsibly use resources and control expenses to meet budgetary controls.
Experience
• A strong estimating background.
• A good understanding of Security, Data Infrastructure & TV Systems.
• Proven ability to work as a team member and independently.
• Demonstrate deadline/time management and task management skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills
