The successful Supply Nursery Cook, would be committed to working within fast paced environments and in various different settings, catering to different food intolerances and requirements as well as providing children with a balanced and nutritious meal.
Adaptability and the use of initiative are essential skills required to be a successful Supply Nursery Cook.
Salary
The starting salary for the Supply Nursery Cook role would be from £14.00 per hour to £16.00 per hour.
Job Description
The successful Supply Nursery Cook would be required to carry out the following duties:
1. To prepare, cook and transport meals within the nursery settings, to the required healthy eating standard, ensuring appropriate cultural & dietary requirements are met
2. To ensure all aspects of the Nursery food areas are kept clean and tidy at all times in line with the Occupational Health Regulations
3. Record required temperatures of the refrigeration equipment and children’s meals
4. To work with the nurseries to ensure all their meal requirements are met and to liaise with the nursery to establish their menu
5. To ensure the monitoring of ingredients at all times in line with allergens.
6. To follow a strict red plate and sign out procedure in line with our allergy policy and procedure.
Essential Requirements for the Supply Nursery Assistant role
1. DBS certificate (clean criminal record)
2. Food and Hygiene Level 2
