As a Waste Reduction Officer you'll play a crucial role in the supply chain of a successful manufacturing business, overseeing the measurement and management of waste across two production sites. Collaborating closely with various teams, including Production, Purchasing, Maintenance, and Sustainability, you'll be responsible for identifying waste streams, implementing waste reduction initiatives, and ensuring compliance with environmental regulations.
This is a newly created role within an organisation committed to improving their environmental impact and are open to new ways of working. As a new role, this will give the ideal candidate an opportunity to put their educational background to practical use whilst making a difference in the environment!

The Role:
Identify waste streams and develop waste reduction strategies
Implement environmental management systems and policies
Coordinate waste minimisation and recycling initiatives
Ensure compliance with legal requirements on waste management
Maintain documentation and liaise with service providers
Contribute to setting up KPIs for ESG performance measurement
Collate and analyse waste data to measure Scope 3 emissions
Assist in implementing health, safety, and wellbeing policies
Provide training to colleagues as required
The Person:
Third level qualification in a related subject
Highly organised with excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office suite
