Streetworks Manager – Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone

Murphy is currently recruiting for a Streetworks Manager to join our award-winning Energy team on the Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone Project in Norwich. Our team is known for its extensive in-house expertise and continual drive to innovate within the industry.
The Streetworks Manager role is key to the successful delivery of the contract, working with the management team to deliver quality street works and continual improvement.

The Norfolk Offshore Wind Zone project is one of national significance, part of the UK government’s target of net zero carbon emissions by 2050. The project is located over 60km in Norfolk, from Happisburgh to Necton, with installation of approx.
360km of power cables and over 5km of horizontal direction drilling. The project spans from 2023 to 2028, providing a fantastic, once in a generational opportunity for the successful candidate to build and progress their career.

What you will be doing:

Lead a small team and oversee the end-to-end process for applications to local authorities via our bespoke IT systems
Review, assess and generate new opportunities for engagement to help support our construction partners and other stakeholders
Help to ensure onsite activities are compliant of NRSWA requirements
Be a first point of contact for our construction partner companies’ engagements for roadworks
Proactively engage with our local authority partners on large projects
Build upon and enhance existing relationships with our clients and stakeholders
Compile and report on trends and analyse our works within the highways for best practices
Work with the team to ensuring our processes and procedures are kept up to date and in line with industry, regulatory, compliance and safety requirements
Help ensure we are compliant with our statutory undertakings
Keep the team updated on any legislative changes and communicate this with our construction partners
Help to represent mua in external workgroups and forums

Who we are looking for:

Experience of onsite roadworks activities and engaging with local authorities
NRSWA Supervisor certification
Understanding of HAUC, NRSWA, Roadworks UK and other relevant safety standards for UK roadworks
Experience of understanding local authority coordination of road user needs on different projects
Have a practical approach to manage on multiple onsite work projects in a changing environment
Experience in leading and developing a small team
Excellent IT skills, particularly Microsoft Excel and Word
A full valid UK driving licence Knowledge of the utility and energy industry is preferred.
