My client is searching for an Accounts and Audit Senior to join their Eastbourne, East Sussex offices.

The role.

As an Accounts and Audit Senior at the firm's Eastbourne office, you will work as part of the Accounts and Audit team assisting on client accounting, tax compliance tasks and auditing tasks. The job role is likely to be 75% audit and 25% accounts work.
The candidate must be ACA or ACCA qualified or at minimum be within 12 months of being ACA or ACCA qualified or AAT qualified with appropriate experience The candidate must have a minimum of 3 years of practice experience.

Responsibilities

As an Accounts and Audit Senior your main responsibilities will include:

 •  Assist managers on accounts preparation, tax and auditing.
 •  You will work closely with a manager or partner who will guide you on how to approach each task.
 •  You will attend in-house technical training as required to assist in your role.
 •  Maintain a professional working relationship with both clients and colleagues.
 •  Skills required.

As an Accounts and Audit Senior your skills, qualifications and knowledge will include:

 •  ACA qualified or AAT qualified with appropriate experience.
 •  The ability to manage own workload and prioritise to meet deadlines.
 •  Experience in preparing FRS 105, FRS 102 1a and FRS 102 accounts.
 •  Experience in assisting with the planning of audits if not a whole audit file.
 •  Specialisms in Charity audits and/or Solicitor Accounts Rules would be a bonus.
 •  Awareness of changes in current accounts and audit legislation
 •  Problem solver with investigative nature
 •  A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
 •  Excellent spoken and written communication skills.
 •  Excellent organisational and time management skills
 •  Ability to work independently and with others.
 •  Good IT skills (although training provided)
