Job Title: Senior Support Worker - Children's Residential
Location: Cheshire Widnes

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate Residential Children's Support Workers and Team Leaders to join our clients' premium children's services located in the affluent Cheshire countryside. The homes, nestled in the picturesque surroundings of Cheshire, provide a tranquil and nurturing environment for children in need.

As a team member, you will have the chance to contribute to the growth and development of children and young people, supporting them on their journey towards brighter futures. Whether you're an experienced Support Worker, we have roles tailored to your expertise and ambition

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care and support to children and young people in accordance with their individual care plans.

Supervise and mentor support staff, providing guidance and support as needed.

Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, families, and external agencies.

Assist in the implementation of behaviour management strategies and therapeutic interventions.

Always ensure the safety and well-being of children, adhering to safeguarding policies and procedures.

Participate in the planning and delivery of recreational activities, outings, and educational programs.

Maintain accurate and up-to-date records, including daily logs and incident reports.

Collaborate with colleagues to create a supportive and inclusive environment for all residents.

Act as a role model, demonstrating professionalism, empathy, and resilience in challenging situations.

Contribute to the continuous improvement of service delivery through feedback, suggestions, and participation in team meetings.

Qualifications:

Previous experience working in a residential setting, preferably in a senior or supervisory role.

NVQ Level 3 Diploma in Children and Young People's Workforce or equivalent qualification (essential).

Strong understanding of child development, attachment theory, and trauma-informed care.

Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.

Ability to remain calm under pressure and adapt to changing situations.

Commitment to promoting the rights and well-being of children and young people.

Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
