Experienced multi-drop delivery driver holding a CPC and clean driving licence, with Class 2 Licence. THE COMPANY
Our client is a leading distributor of thermoplastic sheet, rod and tubing servicing the fabrication and signage marketplace. Owned by the global leader in the manufacture of acrylics, the distribution team is ideally placed to deliver excellence in supplying and supporting their customers.
As part of its expansion the company is recruiting a Class 2 Driver for their distribution centre in Weybridge; if successfully recruited you will experience a first-rate working environment, free on-site parking and numerous other benefits.
THE ROLE
Key responsibilities for the Class 2 Driver role include, but are not limited to:
• Provide an “on time and in good condition” delivery service.
• Ensure that the vehicle is loaded correctly and safely and that loads are secured without causing any damage.
• Be a good representative of the company when delivering goods presenting a courteous and pleasant manner at all times.
• Report any faults or accidents to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and complete the necessary documentation in a timely manner.
• Assist with the picking of goods in preparation for loading.
• Assist with the correct unloading, checking and storage of stock.
• Report all stock discrepancies, damages and/or stock picking errors to the Warehouse & Distribution Manager.
• Attend regular Branch Staff meetings.
• Carry out all daily vehicle maintenance and safety checks.
• Correctly operate the Tachograph system.
• Perform regular cleaning of vehicles ensuring that vehicles are well presented.
• Carry out other duties as requested by the Warehouse and Distribution Manager.
• Observe all aspects of Health and Safety within the sales and warehouse environment
THE CANDIDATE:
The successful candidate will be an experienced Class 2 multi-drop delivery driver holding a CPC and clean driving licence. You will have good understanding of driving hours and loading regulations.You will have a professional approach, excellent communication skills, be numerate with good attention to detail.
