Pertemps Education are recruiting for a Special Needs teacher to work full time at a special needs school in Luton. We are looking for someone for a September 2024 start. This will be to work with Autism (ASD) and/or Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD) and/or Profound & Multiple Learning Diffiulties (PMLD).
This would ideally be a permanent contract, however there will be options for a temporary role.
Here is the information about the role:
Special Needs Teacher for KS3-KS5
Full time, Monday to Friday
Class size of max 10 students.
Secondary aged students
Working mostly with ASD and SLD
You will be supported by 2/3 teaching assistants in class
Planning and delivering lessons
Short structured activities (20/30 mins) would work well with this class, and more interactive teaching. Here is the information about the school:
Innovative secondary SEN school
Approixmately 75 children at this site
Caters for children with special needs - specifically autism and learning difficulties
Secondary aged special needs school
Located within walking distance of a mainline station, and there is also parking available The successful candidate will need to have the following:
Good communication
Good behaviour management skills
Previous experience working within SEN
Teachers will need to have the relevant teaching qualifications, and hold QTS Pertemps Education treat the safeguarding and welfare of children in schools with the upmost importance. You will need to provide right to work documents, reference checks, teacher qualifications, DBS certificate and overseas police checks if applicable.
You will be required to register with Pertemps in order to work in this role.
