The Business Support Manager will support the allocated services and Care Group delivery of operational performance targets to achieve delivery of national and local targets. They will work alongside the operational productivity team in the development and delivery of improvement plans, promoting continuous improvement.
You will contribute to the safe and effective delivery of a portfolio of trust-wide services by providing robust business and performance support to the Associate Director and their Senior Leadership team.

The portfolio for this role will include at least two trust-wide community services : EPUT continue to develop their specialist perinatal mental health services across Essex following a national and local focus on service development and expanding access for new and expectant mums.
Trust-wide Children’s Learning Disability services are continuing to develop their specialist interventions across the county.

You will work with services based across the county of Essex and so will be required to travel according to business needs. The location of the working base can be agreed with the successful candidate.

Areas of responsibility will include supporting information management, coordination and planning relating to financial, contractual, recruitment, estates, compliance, governance and strategy related business support to the leadership team. You will also be responsible for the management of administrative and secretarial staff including the single point of access hub to services.
You will support service development processes, leading on or supporting specific projects.

We are seeking a highly motivated, adaptable and creative individual with excellent business management and IT skills, and the ability to manage multiple agendas in a busy role whilst being able to use your own initiative and skills to problem solve.
You will be expected to use your own initiative to develop and implement effective business and administrative processes across services.

Working with colleagues, you will coordinate performance management systems to inform and improve operational delivery and provide validated, timely and accurate performance reports on behalf of services for the Trust to meet external and internal requirements.

You will be a key member of the Care Group and will be required to have a positive approach to changing demands in the environment and processes within the system. You will need to be an excellent communicator who is professional and adaptable.
You will be working with a range of individuals including Directors, clinicians and front line staff and project managers.

Our EPUT NHS staff bank is an entity managed by the trust that hires clinical and non-clinical healthcare professionals to take on shifts at our trust hospitals and community settings. Here at EPUT we maintain our own bank of specialist staff to ensure that we are able offer safe and effective care at all times.

All our permanent staff are automatically enrolled onto the staff bank however this does not mean you have to work any additional shifts, but the option is there for you if you wish.

If you are joining our Trust in a fixed term role, please indicate on your New Starter Paperwork that you wish to join our staff bank.
 •  Overall responsibility for the community estates portfolio.
 •  Preparation and co-ordination for Health and Safety and COSHH for community estates.
 •  To support and contribute to the operational estates review within the SNEE ICS.
 •  To support the care group commitment to engage with patients and relatives to support clinical development of service improvement.
 •  To support the delivery of safety indicators for the Care Group as identified by the Productivity Team and work collaboratively to support improved performance.
 •  To provide oversight of action logs for key Care Group and support the leadership team in completion.
 •  To review and assess real time capacity and flow within the care group ensuring excellent patient experience for all.
 •  To monitor and support timely completion of mandatory training, supervision and appraisals for staff within the Care Group.
 •  To provide direct line management to the Community Care Group Admin Team Leader.
 •  To maintain up to date recruitment trackers for the Care Group and maintain progress and TRAC support for the clinical teams.
 •  To ensure the ordering of supplies and equipment and delivery for all community estates.
 •  To support the Transformation Team with information required in collaboration with the Productivity Team.
 •  To provide administrative and data oversight in collaboration with The Productivity Team and ensure a flexible approach to administration across all community services within the Care Group.
 •  To support the presentation of data to the Care Group in an understandable and transferable way.
 •  To support the Care Group in exploring agile working approaches in line with the Trust Digital Strategy.
 •  To provide administrative oversight to the Care Group and support the delivery of the local Care Group Strategy.
