We are delighted to present an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to join our client's logistics team as a Distribution Centre Operations Manager. The Role:
As the Distribution Centre Operations Manager, your responsibilities will include:
• Managing all aspects of Health and Safety, including internal working groups, processes, and training.
• Leading a team of Shift Supervisors and providing them with the necessary tools to manage their teams effectively.
• Focusing on optimisation, cost-saving and continuous improvement by identifying opportunities for process enhancement and increasing efficiency.
• Planning and adjusting staffing levels to meet operational requirements.
• Ensuring effective operational plans are in place, especially for the key peak Christmas operating period.
The Candidate:
The ideal candidate for the Distribution Centre Operations Manager role will have:
• Proven experience in people management with a track record of training and motivating a team to achieve their goals.
• IOSH qualification.
• Experience of working to and achieving targets and timescales.
• Adept knowledge of planning and forecasting.
• Strong IT Skills, knowledge of AS400 would be advantageous but not essential.
