Join a dynamic Civil, Structural, and Architectural (CS&A) team specializing in projects within the nuclear industry. You'll have the chance to contribute to a wide range of projects, from design and construction to decommissioning and waste management.

Role Overview: As part of this team, you'll work on bespoke and innovative designs of reinforced concrete, steel, and masonry structures for various projects, including decommissioning and new builds. Your responsibilities may involve supporting operating nuclear sites and working on structures associated with mechanical handling equipment, process and electrical systems.
Projects are primarily based in the UK, with some international involvement.

Due to the team's extensive experience in the nuclear industry, you'll have the opportunity to be involved in projects throughout their lifecycle, from initial concept design to eventual decommissioning.

Responsibilities:

 •  Deliver nuclear design work, inspections, and construction site support for projects in the UK and overseas.
 •  Conduct concept and feasibility studies for multidisciplinary design projects.
 •  Perform analysis and design using engineering software such as Tekla and Robot, as well as producing hand calculations.
 •  Prepare calculations, basis of design documents, material specifications, scopes of work, and technical reports.
 •  Coordinate interdisciplinary design activities and supervise technicians in preparing Revit models.
 •  Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-profile projects.
 •  Provide technical support to team members.
 •  Ensure all work is carried out with a positive attitude towards safety, both in design and in the office environment.

Qualification Requirements:

 •  Degree qualified (BEng or MEng) in Civil/Structural Engineering.
 •  Chartered or Incorporated Engineer status with membership of ICE or IStructE, or working towards full membership.

Experience Required:

 •  Experience in the design of structures in reinforced concrete and steelwork.
 •  Awareness and experience of using the latest design codes and standards.
 •  Understanding of relevant legal and regulatory standards.
