Rebellion North are looking for an experienced Senior Animator to work on Rebellion games as well as trusted industry partners on genre-defining AAA IPs. You will have the opportunity to join an ambitious team working on multiple projects using different engines including Unreal 5.

The Opportunity
As a Senior Animator, you will create engaging gameplay and cinematic animation content for our projects, maintain consistency within your work and ensure that it is in line with the project’s technical constraints and artistic direction.
Responsibilities:
• Create consistent high-quality gameplay, cinematic and creature animations.
• Use your knowledge of the principles of animation to create Keyframe, Motion capture and procedural animations.
• Prototype concept animations to quickly test in the Game engine and take feedback.
• Have an advanced knowledge of best practices, production pipelines and workflows.
• Collaborate and interpret feedback from other disciplines to create engaging animations.
• knowledge of Game engines State Machines, BlendSpace and Blueprint to create highly responsive gameplay.
• Possess an advanced understanding of motion capture pipeline to be able to edit, fix and polish motion capture data to a high standard.
• Create, track and update the progress of day-to-day tasks using JIRA.
• Support the Lead Animators by mentoring junior employees and identifying team needs.
• Assist with optimisation and debugging to fix the issues
Requirements
• Advanced understanding of 3d software such as Maya, Motion Builder or equivalent animation software.
• Good understanding of acting techniques, cinematography, and visual storytelling.
• An advanced ability to animate realistic character and creature motion.
• Strong ability to collaborate with technical animators in relation to rigging and skinning.
• Advanced knowledge of production pipelines.
• You are a knowledgeable game dev animator with a passion for gameplay and cinematic animation.
