Wynne Consulting are pleased to be working in partnership with a global engineering consultancy specializing in innovative solutions across various industries, including Nuclear, Pharmaceutical, Logistics, and more. At the forefront of automation technology, they are seeking a Controls Engineer to join our dynamic team at our Northampton office.
Role Overview:
As a Controls Engineer Manager, you will play a pivotal role in delivering complete controls software design solutions, from initial concept to delivery, for large-scale automated systems. Your expertise will contribute to a diverse range of projects, pushing the boundaries of innovation to meet and exceed client expectations.
Responsibilities / Duties:
• Ensure solutions meet customer requirements within budget and timeline constraints, maintaining technical excellence.
• Develop well-structured software programs using multiple PLC platforms.
• Create user-friendly HMI/SCADA applications.
• Design and implement PLC hardware configurations.
• Establish PLC network/fieldbus structures.
Skills and Qualifications:
• Time-served apprenticeship in Mechanical and Electrical Engineering, coupled with BTEC/City and Guilds qualifications.
• HNC/HND in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• Strong knowledge of controls components.
• Proficiency in multiple PLC systems, such as Rockwell, Siemens, and Mitsubishi.
• Experience with Servo and/or VFD interfacing and control
