About The Role

Support Worker - Ty Galan, Porth. £11.60 - £12.00 per hour dependent on experience. 40.25 hours per week.

Ty Galan is located in a quiet residential street a short walk from the town of Porth. A large semi detached terraced house with three bedrooms and a communal living space that is associated with a warm and welcoming family home, Ty Galan is a home like no other.
The children at Ty Galan have access to full time education at one of Orbis' schools on the outskirts of Cardiff.

A typical day at Ty Galan will include:

Providing high quality bespoke care to the people we support, including keeping accurate records.
Ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met through a supportive and caring environment, and that it feels like home.
Being a positive role model to the people we support and promoting their independence through a range of activities.
General housekeeping duties, including meal preparation and elements of personal care.

Having fun with the people we support!Sound good so far? We are looking for people who care and have:

A compassionate and caring nature, with a genuine desire to make a positive impact; Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships; Resilience and patience when faced with challenges, adapting to individual needs; A willingness to learn and follow guidance from the team; Basic IT skills for record keeping and communication purposes; Flexibility to work on a shift basis, including weekends and occasional night shifts;Please note: This job role involves regulated activity with children and requires an enhanced DBS with barred list check.
