Position: Skilled Manual Lathe Operator
Location: Leeds
Work Schedule: 3 days per week
Hourly Rate: £16
Primary Responsibilities:
• Precision Machining - Apply your manual lathe expertise to craft top-notch components with precision.
• Tool Room Setting - Thrive in a tool room environment where precision and adherence to specifications are fundamental.
• Setup and Tooling - Execute machine setup, tooling adjustments, and changes to ensure optimal performance and efficiency.
• Quality Assurance - Conduct thorough inspections of machined parts to confirm dimensional accuracy and surface finish quality.
• Problem Solving - Address and resolve any machining operation issues swiftly to maintain productivity and quality standards.
Requirements:
• Extensive experience as a manual lathe operator, grounded in machining principles and techniques.
• Proficiency in interpreting engineering drawings and technical specifications.
• Familiarity with tool room equipment and practices, including lathe setup, tooling selection, and machine upkeep.
