We are incredibly excited to be a further part of this ambitious national programme which aims to give increased mental health provision to schools within Wirral. The Wave 11 trainee EMHPs will be based in Wirral covering schools in the area and accessing their training at PrestwichTraining centre which is part of the University of Manchester.

Demand for these places is expected to be high so whilst the advert is only live for 1 week it is expected to close early. With this in mind it is important to get the balance of submitting your application promptly but making sure you highlight your qualities, experience and knowledge within the application to make you stand out over the other applicants.

Access to transport for work purposes is essential .

Interviews will include a small group interview with a young person's panel as well as the formal individual interview. Interviews are planned to be held on 14th and 17th May.

Wave 11 EMHP trainees will be accessing their training at PrestwichTraining centre which is part of the University of Manchesterwith all the teams based in Wirral and covering Wirral Schools.
The training all trainees will be accessing is a 12 month Post Graduate Diploma that is based on a national curriculum. Typically, trainees will be at university two days a week with the other three days being in service, some of the teaching days may well be accessed remotely or via online platforms.

This is essentially a permanent contract, however is dependent on successful completion of the course at the end of year 1. Qualified practitioners will then become band 5 Educational Mental Health Practitioners in a permanent position.
