JOB TITLE: METAL POLISHER
Immediate Permanent Position
Location of Work: Wolverhampton
Hours: Nights 10pm to 6am Monday to Friday
Salary: Nights from £30,930 up to £43,000 DOE
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES:
Immediate Permanent position for an experienced Metal Polisher preferably with Brass experience. Recent polishing experience essential.
• Responsible for the polishing / linishing brass components to a very high standard
• Ensure all work is undertaken in accordance with any work instructions / procedures
• Ensure preventative maintenance schedules are completed as required
• Report any quality issues / concerns to the team leader
• Carry out routine maintenance when required.
• Responsible for components within the polishing workshop
• Notify the team leader of consumable items that are out of stock
• Maintain good communications and relationships throughout the company
• Ensure compliance with company procedures and make suggestions for improvement
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety requirements
• Using various polishing machines and hand tools to complete the polishing /finishing
• Maintain a clean, safe working environment and good housekeeping standards
• Ensure 5S standards are maintained.
Experience / Skills:
• Solid Metal Polishing and Linishing experience
• Experience of finishing processes
• Competency with machinery and abrasive belts
• Ability to read and understand drawings
• Ability to understand and work to tolerances
• A keen eye for detail
