Are you an experienced English Teacher, with a passion for teaching students with Special Educational Needs? If so, we have an amazing opportunity for you!

We are currently recruiting for a dedicated and enthusiastic SEN English Teacher for a prestigious SEN School situated in Sutton, London. As a SEN English Teacher, you'll have the rewarding chance to work with Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 students with Autism and ADHD, providing tailored support and guidance to nurture their academic and social growth.

This is a full-time, permanent role to start in September and the salary will be equal to the main Teachers’ pay scale plus SEN points.

Responsibilities:

Plan and deliver engaging English lessons customised to meet the unique needs and abilities of students with Autism and ADHD.
Cultivate an inclusive and supportive learning atmosphere that promotes academic progress, confidence, and self-assurance.
Employ varied teaching approaches and resources to cater to diverse learning styles and capabilities within the classroom.
Collaborate closely with SENCOs, teaching assistants, and other professionals to develop and implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies.
Establish positive rapport with students, parents, and caregivers through consistent communication and partnership.

Requirements:

Possession of Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent, alongside a relevant degree in English or a related discipline.
Desirable experience or specialised training in working with students diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.
Demonstrated ability to plan and deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to the diverse needs of SEN students.
Ability to teach English up to GCSE level.
Solid grasp of SEN teaching methodologies, behaviour management techniques, and safeguarding protocols.
Dedication to continuous professional development and reflective practice.
