Instrument/Small Bore Pipe Fitter| Manchester | Full Time – 37.5 Hours per week (Basic) - Although overtime is not guaranteed, average hours are 50+ per week for around 10 months of the year | £20.32 per hour

Our client provides an extensive range of services and products, including control panel and MCC manufacture, electrical and mechanical system design, certified hazardous area designs, PLC and SCADA programming, certified electrical and mechanical installations, full commissioning services and project management.

In this role, you will support a dynamic, growing business, within the engineering industry by providing support to the site team during down time, such as, pulling of cables, containment work, general activities. Working away from home is expected around 80% of the year, accommodation is a single room per person provided by the company at Premier Inn’s across the UK (if available), and expenses are paid at £25 per night

SHEA Passport
SCO1 & 2
Excellent communication skills
Ability to communicate with Clients at all levels
Ability to travel at short notice including long distance
Team player
Willing to work overtime when required including working away from home Monday - Friday
Awareness of H+S regulations on site
What will your role as an Instrument/Small Bore Pipe Fitter look like?

Ensure company quality standards are met
Ensure safety standards on site are met (H+S /CDM Regulations)
Perform tasks as instructed by the site supervisor
Work well in a team
Reading and following pipe & instrument design drawings
Installation of containment for pipe supports, tray work, Unistrut etc
Ability to use pipe benders to bend various sizes of stainless-steel tube, Ranging from 1/8” – ½”
Pressure testing pipe connections between instruments confidently using compressed air and identify leaks using snoop fluid

Work remotely on site confidently
What can you expect in return?

Company Van
Overtime is paid at time and a half after 37.5 hrs including travel time
Saturdays – first 6hrs at time and a half, double time thereafter
Sundays – Double time all day
22 days annual leave plus Statutory Bank Holidays
SSP – in accordance with government regulations
