Role Overview

As a Teaching Assistant, you'll collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance the learning and well-being of students. From supporting classroom activities to offering one-on-one assistance to students with additional needs, this role is diverse and fulfilling.

Key Responsibilities as a Teaching Assistant: Help teachers prepare and deliver engaging lessons, offering support to individuals or small groups as needed.

Assist students with special educational needs (SEN) by implementing their Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and promoting their participation in classroom activities.
Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment by encouraging good behaviour, participation, and positive relationships among students.
Aid in organizing educational resources, materials, and displays to maximize learning opportunities.
Provide pastoral support to students by offering a listening ear, encouragement, and guidance when needed.

Requirements: Experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting (training available for the right candidate).

A nurturing approach and genuine passion for supporting children's learning and development.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for building positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
Flexibility and adaptability to take on varied tasks in support of the school's needs.
Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.
