The Recruitment Bunker are recruiting for an experienced Project Engineer for a leading company based in Coventry.
Reporting into the Programme Director the Project Engineer will play a pivotal role utilising various techniques to ensure that the project deliverables are completed to a high standard in line with the overall project timing.
Overview of the role
• Project Engineer – Interiors / Exteriors
• Salary: £35,000 - £50,000
• Holidays: 25 days plus 8 Bank Holidays

Responsibilities
• Company Policies: Manage and follow the quality, health, safety, and welfare policies of the company
• To oversee project budgets and supervise the preliminary stages of major projects
• Assessing production costs and other vital data pertaining to the project
• Compiling data derived from reports, revising time schedules according to necessity overseeing the quality of work at project site
• Support project review meetings
• Liaise with Engineering teams, Manufacturing teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure the timely closure of all actions
• Responsible for the general management of the development and production stages of projects
• Produce product design and development plans
• Ensuring all safety & legal requirements are being followed, interpreting clients’ necessities, pinpointing, and addressing engineering problems and implementing solutions.
Essential Skills
• Strong experience of working within an Automotive/Manufacturing environment with relevant experience as a Project Engineer within interiors / exteriors or within a Project Support/ Management role, in a fast paced, forward-thinking business
• Liaise and communicate with other departments, suppliers, and other service providers
• Ability to manage one’s own time, multitask and prioritise workload accordingly
• Proven record of people & project management
• Proficient in project management tools, Microsoft Office, and other relevant software
• Ability to produce reports and conduct meetings
• Plans work and cascades to team
• Integrates departmental planning with other business units
• Demonstrates good emotional intelligence, ethics, and professionalism
• Organised, Methodical but Flexible approach to workload
• Must have IDLR/ Full right to work in UK- Sponsorship will not be provided.
Desirable Skills
• Experience and knowledge of designing project guidelines and procedures
• Can lead moderate teams
• Engineering degree or equivalent in a relevant subject
