Contract and Estimating Assistant

Our client specialises in protection products and services for the construction industry enabling clients to meet their Health and Safety obligations.
Primarily you would be reporting to the Estimating Director who is responsible for pricing and advising what products are needed and then costing the proposals. Initially much of the role we will tracking photos and documents of building projects using portals so attention to detail and computer skills are key.
Communicate directly with subcontractors, architects, engineers, and owners.
Perform administrative tasks to support the Estimating Director with building quotes.
Transferring photos and documents from our one-line recording portal to our client's portal
Enter data gathered into estimating spreadsheet to develop project specific pricing and initial business case for the project. Make estimates of costs of all elements required to complete the project to the required scope.
Maintain various estimating and project logs.
Distribute required information and supply subcontractors with project information as needed.
Contract review and generating requests for information (RFI's)
Assist in development of schedules for various projects.
Tracking of project labour and materials
Managing the change order process
Assist with obtaining and processing shop drawings and submittals.
The Ideal candidate:
To be successful in this role you will need to be highly organised, with great attention to detail. Excellent IT skills and a confident communicator.
Previous administration experience is preferred, and you should be proficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel.
This role also requires someone who is used to working with data and has good numeracy skills.
You must be able to drive and have your own transport.
Hours: 42.5 Hours per week (Mon-Fri 8:00am - 5:30pm)
Benefits: 25 days holiday per annum plus statutory Bank holidays. (up to 5 days of annual leave to be taken at Christmas to coincide with the closure of the company)
Auto enrol in workplace pension after successful 3-month probationary period
