As a Process Operator with a Counterbalance License in the industrial minerals and chemicals sector, your primary responsibility is to facilitate the safe and efficient distribution of minerals and chemicals within the manufacturing facility.
You'll operate machinery, handle materials, and ensure adherence to safety and quality standards throughout the distribution process.

Responsibilities:

 •  Equipment Operation: Operate machinery and equipment necessary for the distribution of industrial minerals and chemicals, with a focus on counterbalance forklift operation.
 •  Material Handling: Safely load, unload, and move industrial minerals and chemicals within the facility using the counterbalance forklift or other designated equipment.
 •  Distribution Management: Coordinate with warehouse personnel and distribution supervisors to prioritize and fulfill orders for industrial minerals and chemicals in a timely manner.
 •  Safety Compliance: Adhere strictly to safety protocols and procedures to maintain a safe working environment. Conduct regular safety checks on equipment and report any issues or concerns promptly.
 •  Quality Control: Conduct visual inspections of minerals and chemicals during the distribution process to ensure they meet quality standards. Report any discrepancies or deviations from specifications to the appropriate personnel.
 •  Inventory Management: Assist in inventory management by accurately recording incoming and outgoing materials, conducting cycle counts, and notifying the relevant parties of any discrepancies or shortages.
 •  Documentation: Maintain accurate records of distribution activities, including material movements, inventory levels, and any incidents or safety concerns. Complete necessary paperwork and documentation as required by company policies and regulatory requirements.
 •  Team Collaboration: Work collaboratively with warehouse staff, distribution team members, and supervisors to optimize distribution processes, resolve any issues or challenges, and ensure the efficient flow of materials.
 •  Environmental Compliance: Handle industrial minerals and chemicals in accordance with environmental regulations and best practices to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations

Qualifications:

 •  Counterbalance License: Valid certification/license to operate a counterbalance forklift or similar industrial vehicles.
 •  Experience: Previous experience in a distribution or warehouse environment, preferably in the industrial minerals and chemicals sector.
 •  Safety Conscious: Strong commitment to safety with knowledge of safety regulations and practices in handling industrial materials.
 •  Attention to Detail: Excellent attention to detail with the ability to conduct thorough quality inspections and accurately record distribution data.
 •  Team Player: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, collaborating with colleagues to achieve distribution goals and objectives.
 •  Physical Fitness: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
 •  Communication Skills: Good verbal and written communication skills to effectively communicate with team members and report any issues or concerns.

 •  At least 12 months experience operating a Counterbalance FLT
 •  Personable
 •  Clean and tidy appearance
 •  Capable of manual handling – physically fit
 •  Handwriting must be legible & neat
 •  Dependable
 •  Ability to integrate into a small “family” team
 •  Able to work shifts or days as required occasionally with changes at the last minute when covering for other members of staff due to sickness etc

The hours are: Monday - Friday and you will do a 3 shift rotating rota, 6-2, (phone number removed)
