Assistant Electrical Manager

2020 Recruitment are working with a Glenrothes based manufacturer who are looking to add an Assistant Electrical Manager to their team on a permanent contract.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to move into a more senior position with a view of becoming the Electrical Manager within the company in the future.
Training will be given in areas that are needed for your continued development to raise through the ranks.
The company operates 24/7 and some out of hours working along with participating in an on-call management rota is required.
The Role
As the Assistant Electrical Manager, you will be shadowing the Electrical Manager, working on both plant maintenance as well as new projects to make sure you learn the different systems properly before managing tasks and personnel independently in the plant as required.

Duties & Responsibilities
As the Assistant Electrical Manager your duties and responsibilities will include:
 •  Responsible for managing a team of engineers
 •  Oversee technical staffs in the performance of their duties and provide expertise as required
 •  Analysing electrical systems
 •  Offer solutions to solve electrical problems to ensure optimization of equipment reliability.
 •  Researching and developing new technology to improve existing systems
 •  Enforce accident prevention and occupational health work procedures and regulations
 •  Any other job or duties assigned by the management as and when required
Requirements

To be considered for the Assistant Electrical Manager role you must have the following skills and attributes:
 •  Time served Electrician/Electrical Engineer
 •  Degree qualified, B. Eng (hons), minimum HNC/D + documented accreditation/training
 •  Previous electrical engineering experience
 •  Previous experience with large plant maintenance
 •  11kV, 3.3kV and LV accreditation
 •  In depth knowledge of electrical control gear
 •  PLC experience, SCADA, Measurex, Siemens
