Our working partner are a leading manufacturer in the precision engineering market, known for their commitment to excellence and innovation. With a focus on precision engineering and advanced manufacturing techniques, they consistently deliver high-quality products to their clients throughout the UK.
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Production Engineer to join their team and lead their turning section. This permanent role.

Position Overview:

As a Production Engineer responsible for the turning section, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing all aspects of the production process. From planning and scheduling to offline programming and bill of materials (BOMs) management, you will ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the turning section, driving productivity and maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

 •  Manage the day-to-day operations of the turning section, including workforce management, equipment maintenance, and production scheduling
 •  Develop and implement production plans to meet customer demand and delivery schedules.
 •  Utilize offline programming techniques to optimize CNC machine performance and minimize downtime.
 •  Oversee the creation and management of bill of materials (BOMs) for turning section projects.
 •  Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline processes and improve production efficiency.
 •  Conduct regular quality inspections to ensure compliance with industry standards and specifications.
 •  Identify areas for process improvement and implement corrective actions to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
 •  Provide technical support and guidance to production staff, troubleshooting any issues that arise during the manufacturing process
 •  Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to all health and safety regulations.

Qualifications and Skills:-
 •  Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
 •  Proven experience in a manufacturing environment, with a focus on CNC turning operations.
 •  Strong technical knowledge of CNC machining processes and equipment.
 •  Proficiency in offline programming software ideally Onecnc
 •  Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, with a keen attention to detail.
 •  Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
 •  Experience with production planning, scheduling, and bill of materials (BOMs) management.
 •  Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
 •  Familiarity with health and safety regulations and best practices in a manufacturing setting.
