Senior Network Design Engineer – London (Hybrid)

Great opportunity has become available for an experienced Senior Network Design Engineer to join an award-winning design consultancy with a successful track record for providing MEP engineering on a permanent basis.

Our client is a highly recognised international MEP and technology systems consulting engineering firm providing engineering solutions for large scale, complicated and fast paced projects worldwide. Their clientele includes a diverse array of architects, developers, universities and others of all sizes who demand excellence from their consultants.
They have around 15 global offices and work on some of the most exciting and innovative projects, including sports arenas/stadiums, mixed use developments and commercial buildings.

The role

You will integrate with all design disciplines and specialists to establish client requirements and provide engineered solutions to meet the clients’ expectations and budgets. You will be working with an experienced team, who will help you grow professionally, to assist delivery of this critical element of their built environment engineering solutions.

Qualifications

A degree in Electronic Engineering or an ICT related degree preferred or else an industry focused diploma.

Data Networking essentials such as Cisco Certified Network Associate or similar

Working towards BISCI qualification or other relevant recognised industry qualification or hold RCDD.

Experience designing infrastructure systems for telecommunications/data structured cabling, audio-visual, security, network, and/or wireless systems for architectural projects. Experienced in technology within the built environment.

Candidates should have experience and understanding of the RIBA process, stages, and expected level of deliverable at each stage. Demonstrating project planning, briefing to technical design task delivery, task quality control procedures, resource planning and working with budgets

Experience of CDM Regulations and designer responsibilities

Experience with AutoCAD, REVIT and Bluebeam Revu preferred.

Excellent interpersonal communication skills with attention to detail

Construction (on-onsite / off-site) site monitoring of works and witness testing of ICT systems
