Belmont Recruitment are currently looking for an experienced Medical Secretary to join an NHS Trust based in Keighley on an initial 3 month temporary contract. This is a full-time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
Key Duties:
• Provide high quality administrative/secretarial support to the digital directorate, including the EPR team.
• Be responsible for prioritising work and ensuring adherence to appropriate deadlines.
• Use personal judgement to deal with day-to-day correspondence on behalf of the assigned senior staff.
• Work closely and collaboratively with our existing Digital PA and EPR team secretary.
• Obtain and proof read reports and papers for meetings.
• Sort and distribute any incoming mail and manage emails.
• Organise and maintain diaries, make and reschedule appointments, and use forward thinking when planning meetings with Executives and senior colleagues.
• Maintain an up-to-date filing and 'bring forward' system.
• Provide PA/administrative support to boards and committees.
• Work alongside programme and project managers.
• Always maintain confidentiality in all matters.
• Communicate with colleagues well.
• Have a can do attitude and be open to constructive feedback
• Arranging venues/rooms and equipment
• Attending meetings, taking and transcribing accurate minutes in a timely fashion working as closely as possible to the expected turnaround times
• Create and update action logs accordingly
• Typing agendas and circulating agendas
• Producing supporting documentation and obtaining reports when required
• Ensure directors/senior colleagues are well prepared for meetings
Requirements:
• Previous experience of working as a Medical Secretary, ideally within a NHS Trust
• Excellent minute taking skills
• Excellent organisational skills
