We are looking for a Data Scientist to come in and join our analytics team based in Leeds. We are in the Oil & Gas market and this role will sit within our analytics teams, you will be the only data scientist in a team of four, and we will be leaning on your skill and knowledge to helg us models of our data to make more intuitive decisions.

Description
The Successful Data Scientist will be responsible for but not limited to:
Develop and implement data analyses, data collection systems and other strategies that optimise statistical efficiency and quality.
Identify, analyse, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets.
Filter and "clean" data, and review computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems.
Work closely with management to prioritise business and information needs.
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities within the Logistics Distribution and Supply Chain industry.
Handle data-driven decisions and translate data into an understandable document.
Profile
The successful Data Scientist should have:
A degree in Mathematics, Economics, Computer Science, Information Management, or Statistics.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organise, analyse, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy.
Proficient knowledge of a variety of machine learning algorithms and their real-world advantages/drawbacks.
Good applied statistics skills, such as distributions, statistical testing, and regression.
Great communication skills with the ability to explain complex processes in an understandable manner.Job Offer
Competitive salary range of £55,000 - £65,000 per annum.
