A newly created Management Accountant position is available due to a company restructure within an established manufacturing company based in Smethwick. In this role, you'll take full ownership of the monthly management accounts for two key entities within our group, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting.
You'll also be responsible for transactional processing, maintaining strong financial controls. Expected salary between £30,000 - £38,000 per annum.

We're looking for a proactive and hands-on accountant who thrives in a fast-paced environment. You'll be expected to hit the ground running and become a valuable partner within the team.

In this role, you'll:

Prepare insightful monthly management accounts, providing critical financial guidance to our three thriving trading divisions (each with a turnover of approximately £500k).
Ensure financial integrity through meticulous balance sheet reconciliations.
Maintain robust financial controls by preparing journals and managing accruals, prepayments, purchase ledger, and sales ledger transactions.
Generate cash flow reports that empower strategic decision-making.
Collaborate with the team on budgeting, forecasting, and VAT returns.
Assist in the preparation of year-end accounts packs, ensuring accurate financial reporting.
Support efficient inventory management by contributing to the stock take process.
Utilise technology to streamline financial operations by facilitating electronic payments.

Manage PAYE and pensions administration with accuracy and efficiency.To excel in this role, you'll bring:

A relevant accounting qualification (AAT, ACCA, CIMA) with several years of experience.
Strong technical skills with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships across departments.
