Role Purpose

Burnfoot Community School is based in the heart of the Burnfoot area of Hawick. It is a dynamic, community focused environment. We have been given the opportunity to recruit an additional Depute Headteacher to join our team due to resources from the Scottish Governments’ Strategic Equity Fund.

The role of a Deputy Headteacher is to assist and, where necessary, to deputise for the Headteacher in the conduct of the schools affairs. The key focus for this position is taking a strategic responsibility for pupil, pastoral needs and core curriculum development across the school.
