Our client based in Bury St Edmunds are seeking an Assistant Financial Accountant to join them in a permanent position. You will need to be AAT qualified and ideally part qualified in CIMA/ACCA as there will be more technical accounting to come in time (study support available).
Based on relevant skills and experience the salary is ideally between £30-35k + bonus and benefits.
Assistant Financial Accountant
Job Specification:
• Post purchase invoices onto the accounting system
• Raise sales invoices in the accounting system and send to tenants
• Liaise with customers and suppliers as required
• Post bank transactions and reconcile bank accounts
• Process monthly payment runs and ad hoc bank payments
• Prepare and submit VAT returns
• Assist in preparation of monthly management accounts and cashflow forecasts, over time take on sole responsibility for basic cashflow forecasts
• Other administrative tasks within the Finance Department
This role will provide the successful candidate with exposure to a wide range of functions performed by a finance team; from invoice posting to monthly management accounts and cashflows.
The successful candidate also will have the opportunity to progress their career within the company, with significant opportunity to take on further responsibility in due course. Support for AAT or ACCA study available for the right candidate.
