The University of Glasgow has been changing the world for more than 572 years. Today, we are one of the world's top 100 universities and ranked 13th in the world in the Times Higher Education (THE) World Impact Rankings 2023, demonstrating that we are not only one of the best universities in the United Kingdom, but one of the best universities for the world.
Our people have always been at the forefront of innovation, and our past achievements inspire our current world changers.

The Doctoral Training Hub (DT Hub) manages multiple Centres for Doctoral Training (CDT) and other funded cohort postgraduate programmes across the College of Science and Engineering. The DT Hub provides an innovative student and academic focused service providing end-to-end management and administration.
We offer a flexible hybrid working model.

The Doctoral Training Hub Industry Engagement Manager will support two Centres for Doctoral Training:

 •  The EPSRC CDT in Diversity led, mission-driven research which is a University of Glasgow centre.
 •  The EPSRC CDT in Algebra, Geometry, and Quantum Fields which is run jointly between the University of Edinburgh, the University of Glasgow, and Heriot-Watt University. The postholder will be expected to intermittently travel between the institutions.

The Doctoral Training Hub Industry Engagement Manager will have responsibility for the delivery of the industry and business development strategy for CDTs including delivering on pre-committed funding from external stakeholders and attracting new business for specific research themes or sectors.
You will identify and deliver on research and knowledge exchange opportunities between the researchers within the CDT, Industry, Public Sector and other external parties as appropriate.

The successful candidate will work in parallel with DT Hub coordinators within the Doctoral Training Hub and will be required to provide relief cover to other CDTs supported by the Doctoral Training Hub as and when appropriate.

This post is full time (35 hours per week) and is offered on an open ended with funding end date basis for up to 5 years in the first instance. Relocation assistance will be provided where appropriate.
